Well, this is the last post of things I made from my old grey shirt.
Today, I made a headband for Miss 6 and a new outfit for the her doll.

Molly the dolly, before her make over....
 After.....
I made Molly a new balloon dress, mini flower hair tie and little handbag....
So, here's a little recap of the 7 accessories I made from my old grey shirt.

 Day 3 - I made a flower slouch beanie
Day 4 - I made some Flower hair pins

I had a big day at work, so it's going to be a wordless post :)

I made a little handbag to match the flower hair pins.

Flower hair pins....

Today, I made five small silk flowers... see my silk flower tutorial here.
Then I stitched and glued the flowers onto ballet pins.
 So pretty!
I made something to go with this outfit {that's why there's no full length photos}...
You'll have to pop back tomorrow ;D

Hope you had a good weekend.

Flower slouch beanie.....

I got this grey slouch beanie from a cheap shop for $4.
It was a little bit plain and boring.
So, I worked my magic :)
It's the same design as this flower clip ...
I made the petals from my old grey shirt {there's still some material left}.
Then, I cut some white and silver tulle to fit inside each petal.
Sewed on some silver buttons.
Stitched flower to beanie.
Mummy's dress is now on facebook... click here to like.  That way you'll know when I update the blog :)
Happy Saturday!

Ruffle flower hair tie.....

Yesterday, I made this flower clip...
 from this shirt....
Today, I made this... from the other front panel...
First I cut the front panel into two strips.
I made a ruffle by folding and sewing, so easy {I'll take some photos next time}.
Then melted the edges over a candle.
Then rolled and stitched.  Added the second ruffle and stitched on a hair tie.
 So cute!
I've still got the back panel... Hmmm, What to make next?
Who's been crafting?
I'm looking for more photos for the next 'You've been featured' post.

Another flower clip....

Sunday night already?  Where did the weekend go????

I had a spare half an hour this arvo, so I whipped up this grey flower clip.
I made the flower from my old shirt.  The material is horrible!
When I'd wear the shirt, it would become static and stick to my skin.... but it makes cute flower clips.
Here's what was left after I finished the flower...
Check out my Silk flower tutorial to see how to make the petals.
To make this flower...
I cut about 15 circles the same size and 4 slightly smaller ones for the center.
Then melted the edges above a candle.
I stitched 6 petals, fanned out to make the first layer.
Then kept adding petals to fill in the gaps, stitch in place.
The slightly smaller ones were added last {helps hid any messy hand sewing ;) }.
Then I sewed on three pearl buttons and glued on an alligator clip.
It makes it look like a real flower... I love it!
What do you think?
Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Sparkle disco...

Well, I've been missing in action this week :(
Work gets in the way of blogging.... sometimes I wish I didn't have to work.
But, since my husbands accident last December I've had to increase my days.
I miss my lazy days at home, pottering around doing the housework, crafting, blogging, doing DIY projects around the house  and having coffee with the girls.
I love my job, but don't like leaving home at 6.20 am and getting home at 7pm... four days a week!
Ok, that's enough of my pity party ;)

Moving right along....
Tonight the kids went to a disco at their dancing school.
The theme was sparkle.
Miss 6 ready for the sparkle disco...
I got Miss 8's sparkle top at an op shop for 50 cents... bargain!
It was a small adult top which I resized to fit.
The silver and black leggings are from Cotton On kids.  They were actually tights that were too small {they were in the wrong packet}, so I cut off the foot of the tight to make leggings.
The silver sparkle shoes are also from Cotton On kids....
I had a little giggle when Miss 6's little schoool/dance friends ran up to greet her.
They screamed 'E*** you cleaned your room'.... I'd been threatening that they couldn't go if they didn't clean their room :)
I stayed and watched the kids dance... they had a great time.

Happy weekend :)
