Welcome to Mummy's dress.

What is Mummy's dress about?
Turning my old unwanted clothes into outfits for my girls.

It all started during the school holidays.....
I was cleaning out my wardrobe.
The girls kept saying 'mum, that's too pretty to throw away... Can we have it?'  So the girls spent ages playing with my old clothes.
I was also inspired by one of my favourite blogs new dress a day.

Here's our first dress makeover.
A black and white sundress....

First I cut off the ties, then used the material to make the straps for the dress and the headband.
I sewed a few darts in the back of the dress.
Voila...
One pretty sundress for Yana.
I think it looks beautiful!
Love Nikki xx

Awesome!! What a clever lady you are. I've done the same thing with a couple of my dresses and they love it. Makes you feel good too.

wow, love this. Ive used a top of mine to turn into a top for my daughter. Maybe I'll be inspired to do some more. Love the idea of repurposing clothes!! Cant wait to see what you do next.

Great idea for a blog - Repurposing clothes is something I really want to try my hand at!

What a fantastic idea!! I don’t have any kids (yet...) ;) but when that time comes, I will have to keep this in mind!

Nikki-love the bag, it's adorable. Maybe you could do a quick tutorial on how to make those darling flowers. Love 'em.
