Summer Dress....

Before.....

I resized the top to fit Miss 6. 

Added bows to the shoulders and tied a bow around the middle of the dress.

 So pretty, looks great with leggings.

Miss 6's legging are by Sosooki, available at Myer... they're too cute!

 Miss 6 lost her 2nd tooth....

 the Tooth fairy got lost and took 2 days to come and pick up the tooth... oops!

It's nearly the end of March and today it was mid 30'C {95 F} with an overnight low of 20'C {68 F}.

It's so hot and humid!

Miss 8's creation....

Today's repurposed outfit is a pink dress.

I was inspired by one of Miss 8's designs and thought it would be fun to make it.

Before...

Miss 8 made a belt out of an old silver elastic headband.

The drawing that inspired the design.

Grandma got the girls these fashion design notebooks for Christmas... they love them!

It's not an outfit for going out... just a dress up for around the house.

My Hawaiian Princess...

Miss 6,

my beautiful Hawaiian princess.

 Miss 8 modeling the before....

 I cut the dress about 10cm below the shirring elastic.

Then turned it down and sewed a band for the elastic.

Then made a big bow for one strap.

 After we took these photos, we went shopping.

Miss 6 was stopped several times and told how beautiful she looked.

Yes, her head is slightly bigger ;D

I'm back.....

 Sorry, I didn't get around to posting while in New Zealand.... I was enjoying spending time with family and friends and didn't want to waste too much time on the computer.

It's good to be home.

I took the above photo of Miss 8 this morning.... notice anything different about the room?

While I was away my husband decided to do some painting, I loved this wall white, but now it's grey... oh well!

Anyway, this morning I changed this top into a dress for Miss 8.

 I just took in the sides and hemmed it again... looks great with some leggings....

So good to be home.... although next time I go overseas remind me to tell my husband not to paint anything while I'm away!

Outfit #6

This sundress is outfit #6. 

 Here's the before...

 Did you spot the difference?

No???
Well, that's probably because outfit #6 was upcycled without a cut or a stitch.
I had plans to turn my old top into a top for one of the girls.
But, Miss 6 insisted on wearing it to the shops as a dress. 

Today's upcycle was my easiest yet.

 Someone left a comment the other day asking... Are you going to upcycle clothes for Master 9?

Master 9 has asked me to make him something... so, yes, I will make Master 9 something. 

I need to go through Orsen's wardrobe and sort out some old clothes.

I also got several comments about the girls hair clips.

I'm putting together a quick tutorial :)
