Twins ;-)

 The before....
Two matching Pumpkin Patch dresses {size 4 and 7}.
The girls used to love wearing these matching dresses.
Miss 6 grew out of the size 4 and now she wears the size 7.
I got an email from Lisa.... asking for photos of how I repurpose the Pumpkin Patch dresses into skirts.
Step 1...
Step 2.....
Overlock raw edges, turn back top to make a band, iron, pin and sew.
Step 3... thread elastic and sew gap.
So easy, takes about 15 minutes.
Miss 6 {wearing the size 7} and Miss 8 {wearing the size 4}

Twins again... well, sort of :)

Repurposed Pumpkin Patch outfit....

Good evening :)

Today's repurposed outfit is this beautiful green and pink skirt.
Before...
This dress was one of my favourite Pumpkin Patch dresses.
I loved it on the girls... I just love the material.
I unpicked the top of the dress... no sewing needed.
So quick and easy.
I had a lovely day off today with Orsen {my husband},
my heart is happy :)

Repurposed Pumpkin Patch outfit...

Today's repurposed outfit is this skirt.
It was a size 7 Pumpkin Patch dress,
that was too short for the girls.
I cut, sewed, threaded elastic and voila.... a skirt.
I also made a matching hair clip.... with covered button.
I'm heading off to work soon.
I hope you're having a wonderful day :D

Upcycled Pumpkin Patch t-shirt....

Today's upcycled outfit is this pumpkin patch t-shirt....
Before...
It's a size 5 and the sleeves were too short for Miss 6.
So I cut off the long sleeves at the seam under the stripey short sleeve.
Took a few minutes to transform it from a long sleeve shirt to a t-shirt {and no sewing needed}.
A shirt that was going to be given away, has been given a new life.
This was one of Miss 6's favourite shirts.... she's so happy she can wear it again.
Where did I get the gorgeous skirt?
I ordered it last week and it arrived today.
I found Pennys Pettiskirts on facebook {no, I'm not getting paid for this}.
I just LOOOOVE her skirts and was really happy with the service.
Diana has daily specials for those who 'like' her facebook page.
Isn't it the cutest skirt ever!
I got these 'nerd' glasses the other day.... they are so cool!
Any guesses as to what was sooo shocking?

Upcycled Pumpkin Patch....

 Good evening,
Tonight I thought I'd share my {Miss 6's} new idea.
Anyone who knows me in real life, knows that I love Pumpkin Patch clothing {and have ALOT of it}.
Over the years I've spent so much money.... I really should be a share holder.
Anyway,
I've never sold any of my kids clothes etc on ebay, instead I store them and give them away to family and friends.
Most of the old clothes goes to my brother in New Zealand.
Yesterday, Miss 6 was going through a bag of old clothes.
She came downstairs wearing this yellow dress.
It's a size 4 Pumpkin Patch dress.
This yellow dress was one of her favourite 'going out' dresses and it still looks brand new.
Miss 6 asked if I could change it into a top.
Who cuts up a $40 Pumpkin Patch dress?
But, it made me think.... maybe it was a good idea.
I had a little play and thought it would make a cute skirt.
It took less than 15 minutes to change it from a dress to a skirt.
Miss 6 loves her new twirling skirt...
Thanks for the great idea Miss 6....
More Pumpkin Patch upcycles coming soon :)
My heart goes out to everyone in Christchurch, New Zealand.  This morning the city of Christchurch was hit by a devastating earthquake.  65 confirmed dead many more missing.
The images on Tv are shocking!
I don't have family living in Christchurch.... but I have a few friends living there, who are all ok.
